Stella's: - For the best hamburger you have ever had, go to this historical restaurant, visit them on Facebook and see the "Stellanator".

Charleston's: - A favorite for us, we like the steaks or fish cooked over mesquite wood. The house salad and home made rolls are very good. Our favorite desert, if you have room, is the bread pudding. It has a nice atmosphere but it does get noisy. We like the filet, does not take reservations.

Brother Sebastian: - Our favorite place to have a quiet dinner. The restaurant theme is a monastery. The two favorite rooms we like to eat in at the Library or Contemplation rooms. like the Filet and Becki likes the Filet Oscar, takes reservations.

Pink Poodle: - A short drive from Bellevue or Omaha is the Pink Poodle in Crescent, IA. This is a small town restaurant and is great. Selected #1 for Prime Rib. I like the Pork Chop dinner and Becki likes the Prime Rib.

Catfish Lake: - Catfish Lake restaurant in Bellevue, NE. is a small individually owned that opened in 1986.

Lil' Burro: - Web site is down, but it is good mexican food. Becki really enjoys the Chicken Chipolte dinner, to spicy for me, i like the chicken enchiladas and the Tequila lime chicken tacos

Local Wineries:

Nebraska Wineries: - We enjoy touring around to the local wineries. The closest one is Soaring Wings in Springfield, the wines are great and they have live music and covered and uncovered sitting areas. Bring your own food and snacks and enjoy their wine.

Western Iowa Wine Trail: - You do not need to wait for the annual "Grillin' with Iowa Wines" to enjoy the western Iowa wineries. These are out in the country and are very relaxing to sit and enjoy the countryside.
